VCS 1.12.1 released

A very small update this time. It's only been delayed by real life stuff.

Only worth mentioning:

  • Workaround for cases in which GAWK uses comma as decimal separator. Many European languages use commas but only a few versions of GAWK do actually print them (and newer versions don't anymore). People encountering this bug will have certainly noticed since it results in all kinds of errors.

  1. Dear Sir,
I am a senior citizen, and I am not a computer expert. Do you know of a program which allows one to make thumbnails of a video (ie, creates a series of small images in one jpg file for an entire video) and is easy to use on Windows 7? I already have one that works well on Win XP, but it works only about 50% of the time on Win 7. ( I saw a great image of a flower video somewhere on the inet which was apparently made by you/your software). Thank you very much for any assistance you may offer me in this regard.
    Mike

  2. Hi Mike.
I rarely use Windows for multimedia so I can't say for sure, but when it comes to video previews, two popular choices are Media Player Classic and Image Grabber.

I guess programs will eventually catch up but right now there are many that fail to work flawlessly in Windows 7, specially on the 64-bit version, so I'd recommend you patience and some searching 🙂

    Best regards!

  3. Hello Toni,
I am using your VCS since a while. I am just here to look for possible updates (still using 1.0.100a) and so I am taking the opportunity to leave a big

    THANK YOU!

    1. Thank You for choosing my little kludge 😉

I consider the current version pretty mature and complete so I'll take some time until the next iteration. Of course if you have any suggestion feel free to mail me or comment here.
